I think artist Donna Lorello's name is spoken in hushed tones. Her savvy fans just quietly buy up all her work and keep it to themselves and no one else gets to know she exists! Well guess what folks? The party's over! The secret is out! Donna Lorello is one of the best artists out there and here's a sample of her work to prove it! When we have new artists paint for us, we are often very pleasantly surprised, and this red roan appaloosa Sergei was a real treat. Donna has done alot of hand-work on this guy that must have taken forever to complete. He is so realistic and her use of colors and shading is the mark of a true professional. Donna, thank you so much for sending us SUCH a beautiful horse!
I just couldn't get over all the pains-taking hand painting that Donna did on this guy, so here's some close-ups. that roaning technique is amazing! And his mottling is not too over-done either. Super blending.
When I saw how fantastic this horse looked all dressed up in that costume by Gloria Ford and with our resin Indian painted by Sheryl Leisure, I couldn't stop taking pictures of him! Wow! Some of these pictures need to be in frames! I do have way too much fun with these horses!
