Resin Frogs
Page under construction....check back for more.

Many years ago, Randy sculpted a little frog out of clay. A simple, humble little creature measuring only 3" long and about 2 1/2" across. He sat in his bisque form in the china hutch for at least 10 years.

When Randy started the resin casting business, Resins by Randy, he found that he sometimes had extra resin left over from pouring a resin horse. So, rather then waste the precious extra drops, he made a mold of his frog and started pouring the left over resin into it.   The resin frogs were so charming, he ended up making several molds of them and pouring frogs for friends and for gifts. Before long, we were pouring lots of frogs and donating them to schools and clubs and various charities to help them further their projects. Children would paint the resin frogs and sell them to raise money for their cause.

In March of 2011, Japan was struck with a terrible earth quake and tsunami.  I asked the model horse hobby to help me get some beautiful, painted frogs to the children of Japan, who had lost so much in that disaster, and "500 Frogs" was started.  I had hoped to send 500 wonderful painted frogs to Japan, but within a year, over 750 amazing frogs from all  over the world made it into the hands of a deserving child.  I am in awe at the love and generosity that grows in this hobby.

500 Frogs is finished. But the beautiful frogs just keep 'happening' in our studio! Randy is having a ball swirling colored resin and creating all kinds of fantastic frogs. Every single one is a 'one of a kind'. They might be similar, but never the same.  So we are now offering them here for sale. They are $15. each, and that includes shipping INside the US.

Unpainted frogs are also availabel in pure white artists resin for you to paint your own frog for only $5.

Some frogs are fancier then others, but each frog is adorable and special in it's own way.  As these frogs sell, I will remove their picture, and more will be added. There is nothing written on the bottom of these frogs except for a tiny identification number, so you can personalize them as a gift if you want. These are the only pictures I have of these frogs. Hope you find one that speaks....er...croaks to you!.........
