Terra Pennington is an artist to watch. Her work just keeps getting better and better, and now she's working in pastels as well. Terra painted this lovely Ikantu to the likeness of my favorite PMU mare that was recently rescued by TIBBP. She has made this horse look so realistic, it is positively amazing. Her use of colors and blending make this piece really come alive, and she has done a wonderful job in matching the real horses coat pattern!

Well we sure can't hide a 'painted pony' from Alicia! And they go together so perfectly, too! This lovely horse is so versatile, he looks willing to do just about anything asked of him. Many many thanks to Terra for doing such a nice job on him! We're glad to introduce him to the hobby.

Here's the real PMU mare, "Kiowa" that Terra used as a guide line for painting our Ikantu. Kiowa is in Canada but will be joining her new adopted family in Missouri soon. What a beautiful girl!
